Tour of New Zealand, Test Indore: Transactions in Accounts of BCCI are stopped by Lodha Committee, Entire Season of India vs New Zealand is in Doubt
A senior BCCI functionary responded on this development and told to media on Monday: “How can our team continue the series when we won’t pay their board for the tour because banks have stopped all the transactions of the BCCI? The Lodha Panel is raising questions over well maintained and distributed transactions that belong to BCCI and its member associations under rules and regulations. The series cannot go ahead.
The Lodha Committe on Monday informed to the chief executive Officer, treasure and the secretary of BCCI, about violation of the Supreme Court Judgement for disbursing large funds to state associations. The board official said, “The Lodha Panel didn’t speak to anyone to anyone about the all matter. Stop making fool of us. Let the Kiwi team leave honourably.”
Another official said, “The entire incident put a big question mark on the Indian cricket home season. The Lodha Panel is doing what they think is right. But it is the money of BCCI and BCCI is using to improve infrastructure.”
New Zealand team is scheduled to play five ODIS from 23rd September to 30th October, apart from the final test at Indore. Between November and January England team is scheduled to play three ODIs, five tests and three T20s. Australia will also visit to play four tests series starting in February 2017. Bangladesh will be also in India. Nobody knows what’s the solution of all this mess between Lodha Panel and BCCI. Don’t know what solution will be. But one thing is true if any match will be interrupted due to this issue. That will make a big stigma on Indian Cricket.
