A National Security Council Meeting has been held by US President Obama. The purpose of the meeting was to review in the campaign against ISIS and to put the efforts to decrease the suffering of the Syrain people, the White House said.
“The White House said, “Although the United States suspended bilateral channels with Russia in pursuit of a Cessation of Hostilities, the President Obama directed his team to continue multilateral discussions with key nations with a vested interest in the region to encourage all sides to support a more durable and sustainable diminution of violence and, more broadly, a diplomatic resolution to the civil war,” the White House said in a conference.
“The President’s team highlighted our continued prosecution, together with our global partners, of an aggressive campaign against ISIS that includes military, intelligence, law enforcement and diplomatic efforts,” The White House added.
During the meeting, President Obama’s main focus was on ISIS and Al-Qaeda. He said that our motive is to prevent attack on US and countering tourist threats.
He also added that we are working on coalition efforts to apply a great pressure on these terrorist groups. Soon, we will be successful to create a peaceful environment for the people of Syria and Iraq.
More than 3,00,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict began in the region.
